Studios

Manitoba has a purpose-built studio with 15,000 sq ft clear span, supported by office space, a carpentry shop, loading docks, wardrobe and a commissary. In addition there are a variety of warehouses that enable Manitoba to accommodate multiple shows. Manitoba is also home base for leading visual effects house, Frantic Films and has a post-production house with spacious edit suites.

Locations

Manitoba has a wide range of locations. Highlights include the Exchange District, one of the largest collection of turn-of-the-century buildings in North America; Arctic terrain, including tundra and coastline; pristine beaches and lakes; Mid-West towns and rolling prairies. Manitoba has doubled for locations such as Chicago, Detroit, Minnesota, Vancouver, Washington, New York, Missouri, San Francisco and Vermont, as well as turn-of-the-century Kansas and Boston. An example would be the film Capote, which used Manitoba to double for New York. Shall We Dance? used it to recreate Chicago. A database is viewable at http://mbfilmmusic.ca/en/film/locations.
