Introduction
Choose from sugar-white sands, sweeping ocean vistas, rugged coves, magical hidden beaches, the surf of the Atlantic or the crystal calm of the Caribbean. Dense tropical forests, rolling rural landscapes, banana and coconut plantations, ancient rock formations rising up from the sea, voluminous subterranean caves and charming old plantations are all readily accessible. 350 years of culture and prosperity provides a wide range of architectural treasures, from Jacobean, Georgian, Federal and classical mansions, to colonial homes and townscapes, from historic churches and military buildings, to modern shopping centres and urban settings. Barbados is a visual feast that remains fresh and relatively undiscovered by the international production world.
