Introduction In addition to its variety of locations, Portugal offers a high quality and experienced workforce, modern structures and facilities, an active local industry, intense exquisite quality of light, cultural diversity - Nordic, Celtic, Romanic, Mediterranean and Moorish - warm, welcoming and language-skilled people.Permits/visas There is no special permit required except the one demanded by the owner (or responsible entity) of the location. Nevertheless, the producer or the executive producer must inform ICAM/PFC of his/hers intentions, so that the Institute may issue a filming permit. Besides providing filming permits, PFC tries to facilitate in-house shootings, by connecting the filming crew with the respective entities that have their own rules and adequate proceedings. PFC acts as a mediator between the production company and the appropriate entity, so as to facilitate communication and ensure that shooting will be made on the chosen location.
