Introduction
The Singapore Film Commission's role is to nurture, support and promote Singapore talent in film making, the production of Singapore films and film industry in Singapore.

Permits/visas
Companies have to apply for professional visit passes if they want to do location filming in Singapore. These applications should be addressed to: Senior Manager, Department of Immigration, SIR Building, 10 Kallang Road, Singapore 208718. tel: 6391 6100, fax: 6298 0843. Individual applications should be made preferably a month in advance before arrival of the foreign crew and cast in Singapore. A broad list of applications could also be submitted for clearance. This list should contain the following information: name and designation, date of birth, nationality, passport details.

Tax breaks/incentives
The Film in Singapore! Scheme (FSS), administered by the Singapore Tourism Board, aims to facilitate international film-makers and broadcasters in the shooting, production and post-production of quality movies and television programmes in Singapore. The programme aims to promote Singapore as an attractive destination for international visitors through the effective medium of movies and television. Through FSS, each film-maker or broadcaster may be granted financial support, on a case-by-case basis and/or project facilitation and information provision. Each project is evaluated with specific focus on how the film or programme will uniquely showcase Singapore's locations.For details, please visit the website at www.stb.gov.sg.
