Business/Social Hints: Many executives speak a second language including German, English, French, Italian or Russian. Smoking is generally accepted but restricted in many public places and buildings, and on public transport. There are some restrictions on photography. The minimum drinking age is 18 years

Health

Reciprocal health: A reciprocal health agreement for medical treatment exists with the United Kingdom. In order to obtain treatment some proof of United Kingdom residence such as a UK passport will be required. Further details are available from www.dh.gov.uk.

Climate

Winters are cold with frequent snow and summers are warm increasing in temperature towards the south. Although summer is the wettest month there is plenty of fine, sunny weather especially in the south.

Lightweights with rainwear for summer, mediumweights for winter with heavier clothing for inland areas
