AFCI Producer Show now open for submissions
The Association of Film Commissioners International (AFCI) Cineposium to be held this September in Jecheon, South Korea, has opened its call for projects to be included into its Producer Show.
The Producer Show is a new special programme held at the Cineposium which helps to introduce producers and their projects – ready to shoot overseas - to over 200 AFCI members and Asian investors.
The attending investors, the AFCI says, are “significant players in their home markets of China, Japan, Hong Kong, South Korea and other countries in the region”. At the event producers can choose the film commission and location that most suits their project’s needs and potentially find funding for their project.
The call for projects in The Producer Show is open to producers from around the globe who are planning to shoot their film or video outside of their own country, and fifteen projects will be selected through a jury process. The selected producers are given five minutes to pitch their project and can then negotiate with those showing an interest.
Project submissions will be accepted until 4 August through the Cineposium’s website.
This year’s Cineposium will be held from 29 September through 2 October in South Korea. The AFCI says it expects over 500 AFCI members and film industry personnel to attend.
