The official trailer of The Railway Man has been released. Starring Colin Firth and Nicole Kidman, the film was directed by Jonathan Teplitzky and shot last year in Thailand, Australia and Scotland.

The Railway Man is an adaptation of the autobiographical book by Eric Lomax and is an account of his torture during the construction of the 'Death Railway' during the Second World War. The striking locations and sweeping camerawork are matched in the trailer by a stirring orchestral soundtrack.

The film comes from UK-based Archer Street Productions; the company’s Andy Paterson wrote the screenplay along with Frank Cottrell Boyce. Paterson also produced the film with Bill Curbishley and Chris Brown. Zygi Kamasa was the executive producer for Lionsgate.
