Hungarian film tax incentive increases

Hungary’s tax incentive for domestic and international filmmakers has been extended for a further six years by the European Commission. The deal, which will now last until December 2019, gives companies making films and TV programmes in the country a 20% rebate on production costs.

Rebates are paid by two methods: through the corporate tax system and via deposit account from Hungary's National Film Fund (the latter is available more quickly).
