Stunning Jean Paul Gaultier ad shot in Barcelona

On the Docks, the latest fragrance commercial in the long running series for Jean Paul Gaultier’s fragrances Le Male and Classique has been released, directed by Johnny Green of Gang Films.
Ogilvy & Mather Paris is behind the highly charged and erotic commercial, which is set to the sounds of Casta Diva from Bellini’s Norma. Ogilvy and Mather chief creative officer Chris Garbutt said: “This is very poetic, classical, opera music with a beautiful and inspiring female voice that contrasts totally with the image of a boat breaking the concrete of the harbour and entering into a city. This track also added poetry to the images.”
The spot was filmed in Barcelona, chosen for its picturesque harbour dock. Shot very much in an epic style, it reunites the two lovers as Le Male surges through the city on a freighter, breaking through streets and buildings as Classique prepares for his arrival.
