As regards to cast, two actors will play Pele: Leonardo Lima Carvalho for his younger years and Kevin de Paula from ages 13 to 17. Vincent D'Onofrio, Rodrigo Santoro, Diego Boneta, Colm Meaney and Seu Jorge have also been lined up to star.
Commenting on the project, Imagine’s Brian Grazer said: “I've always been excited about the exploration of genius. Pele is that story. He is an inspiration to his country.”
