Will Ferrell's Ron Burgundy plugs Dodge Durango
Comic actor Will Ferrell has lent his character Ron Burgundy to Dodge Durango in a string of hilarious new ads. The campaign, made by the Portland arm of Wieden + Kennedy, coincides with Paramount’s forthcoming sequel Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.

Comic actor Will Ferrell has lent his character Ron Burgundy to Dodge Durango in a string of hilarious new ads. The campaign, made by the Portland arm of Wieden + Kennedy, coincides with Paramount’s forthcoming sequel Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.
The videos (there's lots of them!) – of which you can watch below – see Ferrell as the bumbling news anchor Ron Burgundy plugging the latest SUV, complimenting the vehicle’s various features in typical Burgundy fashion: “Comfortably fits two turkey sandwiches, six ball pein hammers, 70 packs of gum, 20 rulers…”
For the ads, Wieden + Kennedy collaborated with writers from Funny or Die - the comedy website formed by Ferrell and Anchorman director Adam McKay. It’s produced by Gifted Youth (a production arm of Funny or Die) and Caviar, who have offices in Los Angeles and throughout Europe. Jake Szymanski, from Caviar’s LA office, was in the director’s chair.
With its headquarters in Portland, Wieden + Kennedy - who coined Nike’s Just Do It tagline - also have offices in New York, Sao Paulo, London, Amsterdam, Delhi, Shanghai and Tokyo.
