British actors Dougray Scott and Kaya Scodelario are in South Africa preparing for principal photography on feature film Tiger House.

Shooting begins on 11 February on the home invasion thriller, which centres on an injured gymnast who finds herself fending off a gang of armed robbers while in her boyfriend’s house.

Producer Tarquin Glass of Glass Man Films tells KFTV that, although the whole feature is supposedly set in the UK, finance has meant that South Africa is the exciting location choice for the five-week shoot. Post-production will be done in the UK.

The team, which includes mostly local crew, will be filming in Cape Town, which is doubling for parts of Surrey, England. Other locations include Wynberg, a southern suburb of the city.

Glass says the feature is crewing up locally in South Africa with the only UK crew being himself, producing partner Richard Mansell, editor Gary Forrester and director Tom Daley (plus the costume designer who won’t be on set).

The small cast of nine is a mix of UK and South African talent in addition to two ex-pat British living in South Africa.
