Service production company Jacaranda Films in Argentina has launched a series of visually stunning ads for Coors Light, filmed in Switzerland and Argentina.

There are five commercials in total; here we take a look at two, Wingsuit and Scuba Sports Bar.

In the first, we see two daredevils in wingsuits chipping away at a block of ice to get at two bottles of Coors – the block of ice is part of a vast, vertiginous, craggy landscape of snow-covered mountains. We then see the men swooping over the huge icy peaks to deliver the cold beer to partygoers.

In the second, which has a similar theme of the lengths people go to when they run out of Coors, we see scuba divers deep underwater setting explosives to the bottles of beer which in this instance are buried in submersed iceberg, and then sending them blasting upwards to a bar full of revellers.

Given the high-octane feel and the cinematic locations, it may be no surprise that the ads come from Hollywood director Peter Berg (Lone Survivor).

Executive producer Rémi Noiriel of Jacaranda Films Argentina told us that as the shoot took place during Argentina’s summer, the snowy mountain scenes were filmed in Switzerland, as well as the surface shots for the lake scenes. All the underwater scenes were filmed in Buenos Aires.

Jacaranda is the service production company; they worked alongside production company Pony Show Entertainment which has offices in Los Angeles and New York, and Chicago-based creative agency Cavalry.

Susan Kirson is the executive producer for Pony Show Ent. The spots are for North America – at the time of writing, two had been launched and three had yet to air.

You can watch both ads below, as well as some behind-the-scenes footage at the bottom.
