Filming starts in South Africa on 25 August on Prisoner of War, starring Pace and French actress Berenice Marlohe (Skyfall).

Shooting on the alien invasion thriller will take place in Johannesburg and the local surrounding forests. Pace plays an American soldier who, along with Marlohe’s French foreign aid worker, goes to Africa where they have to fend off a catastrophic alien invasion.

Joe Miale directs from a screenplay he wrote with Rowan Athale. The film comes from London-based production company 42 with a line-up of producers including Ben Pugh and Rory Aitken (Welcome to the Punch), Nicholas Chartier, Zev Foreman, James Harris (Cockneys vs Zombies) and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones (Autobahn). Mark Lane co-produces.
