Batman v. Superman wraps production in New Mexico
According to New Mexico’s film office director Nick Maniatis, Warner Bros. Pictures’ Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, successfully completed production in New Mexico.
The feature film, directed by Zack Snyder and starring Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill in the title roles, is estimated to have spent more than US $13m in the New Mexico economy. This estimate includes everything from local construction hires to lumber and catering supplies.
The film completed its principal photography in New Mexico, after also shooting in Michigan and Illinois.
Maniatis said: “We are thrilled that the towns of Playas and Taos, New Mexico could play host to such a large-scale production. In fact, they built one of the largest set pieces in New Mexico film history.”
The film also stars Gal Gadot, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Holly Hunter, Diane Lane, Jeremy Irons and Jesse Eisenberg. The script was written by Chris Terrio, from a screenplay by David S. Goyer.
