Bollywood feature to film in Poland
An Indian feature film adaptation of Charles Dickens’ Great Expectations, Fitoor, will be filmed in Brzesko, Poland.
The film stars Katrina Kaif, Aditya Roy Kapoor and Tabassum Fatima Hashmi (also known as Tabu), and is directed by Abhishek Kapoor.
The Bollywood movie is a co-production between Indian shingle Jar Pictures, Disney India and Poland’s Film Polska Productions, a Krakow-based production studio. Filming in Poland is set to take place over seven days with six of them using the Goetz Palace in Brzesko and several of the more pivotal scenes filmed on location in the Malopolska region. Over 80 Poles and 40 Indians will be working on the project.
Film Polska Productions is a familiar film partner with India, having worked on 2014’s Kick, starring Salman Khan, which was shot in Warsaw. The company has also been involved in co-productions with the UK and the Middle East, producing several TV projects and over 50 advertising projects.
