Romantic feature Music, War and Love films in Poland
New feature Music, War and Love has filmed scenes in the Polish city of Lodz to tell a story of friendship and the power of music.
Inspired by true stories of talented musicians of the 1930s and 40s, Music, War and Love begins in pre-war Lodz in 1931 and then shifts to Germany and London to end in New York in 1949. Polish location filming will run for 56 days and post-production has been scheduled for the US.
Poland is becoming more popular as an international filming location. Bollywood production Kick filmed in Warsaw last year and Steven Spielberg was a high-profile recent visitor to Wroclaw in the south-west of the country for his Cold War drama Bridge of Spies.
Last week the Polish government continued to develop its screen sector’s international relations by signing a co-production agreement with New Zealand.
