Schwarzenegger to film new movie 478 in Ohio
Action star Arnold Schwarzenegger will film scenes for his new drama 478 in Ohio for about a month from early December.
The film marks the latest change in gear for the Terminator icon, who was recently seen in the low-key zombie drama Maggie (pictured). His new film focuses on a husband and father who loses his family in a plane crash caused by a negligent air traffic controller.
Most of the crew for the 25-day shoot will be hired locally and the film will get tax credit support of around $2m, according to the Columbus Dispatch.
Ohio offers a filming incentive of 25% for production teams coming in from out-of-state. Marvel has been a key high-profile visitor in recent years. The studio doubled Cleveland for New York for the finale of the first Avengers film, and returned to shoot footage for Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
Cincinnati is also becoming a regular double for New York, in films such as Todd Haynes’ critically-acclaimed social drama Carol and Don Cheadle’s upcoming Miles Davis biopic Miles Ahead.
Ohio faces its stiffest production competition from neighbouring Pennsylvania and nearby New York State.
