Prague Studios to open two new filming stages
The new stages will each span 14,000 sq ft and producers will be able to connect them to create an even larger filming space.
Prague Studios was originally adapted from a former military aircraft hangar and the facility sits minutes from central Prague.
The full site currently spans some 325,000 sq ft.
Recent international productions at Prague Studios have included vampire fantasy sequel Underworld: Blood Wars and high-end TV drama Britannia (pictured).
National Geographic’s scripted drama series Genius also filmed in Prague, largely on location, to tell the story of the life of Albert Einstein.
The Czech Republic offers a 20% rebate as a formal filming incentive, which has helped sustain the country’s international production profile.
See KFTV's production guide for more on filming in the Czech Republic.
