Disney has wrapped principal photography on its live-action version of Aladdin, directed by Guy Ritchie.

Production was based at Longcross Studios near London in the UK, but the movie was also filmed partly on location in Jordan (pictured).

The movie is a live-action version of Disney’s own 1992 animated classic, in which the late comedian Robin Williams famously voiced the Genie.

Disney had huge success last year with a live-action version of Beauty and the Beast starring Emma Watson and Dan Stevens, while Mary Poppins Returns will be released later in 2018. Both movies were based in the UK and used Shepperton Studios as a base.

Disney has a substantial presence in London, with the Star Wars franchise – produced by Disney subsidiary Lucasfilm – also based near the city.
