An international shoot is on the cards for two new television dramas, with shooting taking place in Turks and Caicos, Germany, France and the UK. The two spy thrillers are called Turks & Caicos and Salting the Battlefield, and pick up from where Sir David Hare’s acclaimed 2011 political drama Page Eight left off.

Hare once again directs from his own screenplay, which returns to follow secret agent Johnny Worricker (Bill Nighy) as he walks out of his job, heads to the airport, and ends up on the Turks and Caicos Islands, where he becomes embroiled with the CIA.
In Salting the Battlefield, the action continues as Worricker and his old girlfriend Alison are pursued across Europe by MI5.
Harry Potter supremo David Heyman of Heyday Films is among the producers, working with David Barron of Runaway Fridge, Celia Duval and executive producer Gareth Neame of Carnival Film and Television.
Filming begins at the end of May for two months.
