Shooting gets underway in Dublin this week (8 January) on Glassland, a new feature film starting Toni Collette, Jack Reynor and Will Poulter.
The film marks the second feature from Irish director Gerard Barrett who also wrote the screenplay. He made his debut last year with Pilgrim Hill, also shot in Ireland.

In Glassland, Reynor (Transformers: Age of Extinction) plays a taxi driver who becomes embroiled in the world of human trafficking. Collette plays his mother; Michael Smiley (Svengali, A Field in England) co-stars. The project comes from Dublin-based Element Pictures, with Ed Guiney and Juliette Bonass producing.
Collette’s recent credits include Hector and the Search for Happiness with Simon Pegg and the big screen adaptation of Nick Hornby’s A Long Way Down, which filmed in the UK and Majorca.
