Medical Police is being made as an offshoot of the long-running US medical comedy Childrens Hospital, which was created by and co-starred Rob Corddry (pictured).

Corddry is also an executive producer and co-star on the new show.

Zagreb is being filmed as itself over the course of a ten-day shoot, but will also double for a selection of European cities including Berlin, Riga and Florence, according to a report in Croatia Week.

The Croatian capital is also scheduled to host scenes for action comedy sequel The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard, which features Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L Jackson and Salma Hayek.

Historic city Dubrovnik, positioned about 370 miles south of Zagreb, is the higher-profile Croatian city in production terms, and is best known internationally for being filmed as Westeros capital King’s Landing in HBO’s Game of Thrones.
