Dunkirk

Filmmaker Christopher Nolan has started a global shoot for his new movie Tenet.

Warner Bros describes the film as “an action epic evolving from the world of international espionage”.

John David Washington leads a cast that includes Nolan movie veteran Michael Caine, as well as Kenneth Branagh, who previously worked with the director on Dunkirk (pictured).

Tenet is to shoot in seven different countries, though the studio has offered no more specifics.

Nolan is one of Hollywood’s biggest advocates of the IMAX film format and will shoot the new film using both IMAX and 70mm.

Hoyte van Hoytema is director of photography on Tenet, marking his third project with Nolan after Dunkirk and sci-fi film Interstellar.

Tenet is Nolan’s first film as director since Dunkirk, which was released in 2017 and was shot in the UK, France and the Netherlands.
