Big Sky Studios complex being built in the “gateway to the west”

A major new 137,000 square foot production centre called Big Sky Studios is being built in Winnipeg, Canada with three sound stages, production offices and on-site equipment rental.

The former headquarters of fashion company Nygard International was purchased by a Vancouver-based Eighth Avenue Development Group and is now being retrofitted to include three soundstages, production offices, meeting rooms, workshops, on-site equipment rental, and specialty areas for different film departments.

The complex is expected to be operational this autumn.
