Production on the first season of Percy Jackson and the Olympians has wrapped in Vancouver, Canada for Disney+.

Walker Scobell, who plays the titular hero in Disney+'s upcoming Percy Jackson series, has announced production has wrapped on Season One.

Having seemingly descended the North Atlantic Ocean, in a video shared by the official PercySeries Twitter account, the young actor can be seen in an underwater tank carrying a sign that reads: “That's a Wrap. PJO. Season 1. Thank you,“ handed to him by a crew member.

He then proceeds to reveal another sign that reads: “Send help!“

Posting alongside the video, the caption reads: “That's a wrap demigods. Season 1 of #PercyJackson and the Olympians has officially finished production! (And @walkerscobell3 is totally fine with it).“

The new series is directed by Rick Riordan — who wrote the pentalogy of fantasy novels between 2005 and 2009.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians follows 12-year-old modern demigod, Percy Jackson (Walker Scobell), who is newly acquainted with his previously unknown divine powers after the sky god Zeus accuses him of stealing his master lightning bolt.

With help from his friends Annabeth (Leah Sava Jeffries) and Grover (Aryan Simhadri), Percy must embark on an adventure of a lifetime to find it and restore order to Olympus.

The series is created by Jonathan E. Steinberg and Dan Shotz. Writers for the pilot are Riordan and Steinberg, together with James Babin.

Production began in Vancouver on 7 June, 2022.
