Boston-based real estate company Rise is planning to develop a 123-acre sit in Braintree for a film and TV campus.
The Boston Business Journal reported that the development construction firm has a purchase-and-sale agreement with Boston’s Onshore Properties for Banner Parkplans to develop 272,500 sq ft of office and industrial space for sound stages as well as pre- and post-production facilities.
The publication added that the move marks a new era for Rise, which specialises in residential buildings in and around Boston but has ventured out through a substatial proposed development in Sullivan Square in Charlestown that will see life sciences labs, office, residential and more.
“It is rare to have the opportunity to work with a movie studio component within such a dynamic campus,” Rise founder Herby Duverné said in a statement.
“Braintree is a wonderful community, and we are looking forward to the conversations with neighbours as we move forward with this exciting project.”
