A full-service film office for the State of Maryland (including Baltimore and Washington DC suburbs) provides location scouting; pre-production research; government, business, labour and community liaison; plus much, much more.
Maryland is home to Netflix's House of Cards starring Kevin Spacey. Season 1 filmed in Harford County and season 2 shot around Baltimore. Another location used as a set is the Maryland House of Delegates chamber in Annapolis. Both series created almost 6,000 jobs and injected more than $250m into the state economy.
After some controversy about tax credits, producers of the series announced that season 3 will also be filmed in the state in 2014. A statement released in April by Media Rights Capital read: “Spoiler alert: we’re going to keep the 3,700 jobs and more than 100m dollars of economic activity and investment that House of Cards generates right here in Maryland. Media Rights Capital has been a great supporter of the people and entertainment community in Maryland, and we couldn’t be happier to continue our partnership.”
Minimal and low-cost. One-stop permitting for filming in the city of Baltimore at the Baltimore City Film Office.
