Asian Film Summit returns to Toronto
The return of the Asian Film Summit has been announced, taking place once again at the Shangri-La Hotel in Toronto.

Cameron Bailey, artistic director of the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), has announced the return of the Asian Film Summit. Taking place at the Shangri-La Hotel in Toronto for the second time in a row, the 2013 summit will take place during the festival on Tuesday 10 September.
The summit, says Bailey, is a key element of TIFF’s ongoing commitment to building bridges between Asian cinema and the West.
“We're looking forward to welcoming another stellar line-up of key influencers and film leaders from both sides of the Pacific,” said Bailey.
“Last year we were honoured to have among our Asian Film Summit guests filmmakers Chen Kaige, Mira Nair and Eli Roth, film executives Harvey Weinstein, Bill Kong, Chris Dodd, Nina Lath Gupta and Stuart Ford, and global superstar Jackie Chan.”
Set up to offer a platform for industry leaders to connect with one another—generating ideas and finding new business opportunities, the summit will include panel discussions, in-depth working sessions and a gala banquet.
Information on Asian Film Summit guests and programming are said to be announced in the coming months.
The TIFF Industry Office tiff.net/industry will be selling a limited number of passes to industry professionals who are registered with the festival. Passes will go on sale 1 May.
TIFF runs from 5-15 September 2013.
