The Royal Film Commission in Jordan, in association with the Sundance Institute, has announced a call for applications for the ninth round of the Rawi Screenwriters’ Lab.
Between four and eight screenwriters will be invited to take part in the Lab, which takes place in Jordan from 1-5 November.
The Rawi Screenwriters’ Lab is designed for emerging and independent Arab screenwriters, who are working on up to two of their own narrative features.
Through the scheme, the writers will have the chance to develop their screenplays with established, experienced creative advisors. The seasoned screenwriters will guide the applicants in intensive, one-on-one sessions, helping them to realise their vision and drive their screenplays in a compelling way.
The deadline for submissions is 1 July 2013.
