Ile de France Film Commission and Film London have renewed their partnership, continuing to promote their respective regions to national and international production companies. It follows on from an original deal which was made in 2010.

The agreement – announced at the Cannes Film Festival – will bring up to four French producers to pitch their projects at the Film London Production Finance Market (PFM), while up to four British post-production and SFX specialists will attend ParisFX2013 to ensure there is a “creative and talent exchange between the two post-production industries”.

The Bruce Willis action flick Red 2 and Martin Scorsese’s Hugo were filmed in both London and France – no doubt a result of the collaboration.

Adrian Wootton, chief executive of Film London and the British Film Commission said: "In the past three years we have seen a great exchange of talent, which has had a positive impact on our respective industries, and I believe that is only set to grow."

"We very much believe in this creative partnership between London and Ile de France," said Olivier-René Veillon, executive director of Ile de France Film Commission. "As two major cities for international production, they can mutually benefit from a stronger and joint approach to international opportunities. We share the same values, high quality in production, sustainable development and we share also great talents especially in digital creation."
