Call for feature films from various regions around Europe

The 54th Thessaloniki International Film Festival will take place from 1-10 November and is currently open for submissions for the Crossroads project.

The Crossroads scheme aims to find feature-length projects that have a connection to Central Europe, the Mediterranean or Balkan region. They can be produced or co-produced by a country from these areas, of simply have a link within the narrative. Projects can be at any stage of production, but must have a full screenplay and a producer attached.

The following countries are eligible: Albania, Algeria, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Egypt, France, FYROM (Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia), Greece, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Malta, Montenegro, Morocco, Palestine, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Syria, Tunisia and Turkey.

Those selected will have the chance to submit their films and ideas to financiers during the festival, which celebrates independent cinema, with screenings, networking and events. The deadline for submissions is 31 July. Full submission details at the Thessaloniki International Film Festival website.
