A starry cast is lining up on Sils Maria, the forthcoming feature from writer/director Olivier Assayas. Juliette Binoche, Kristen Stewart, Tom Sturridge, Chloe Grace Moretz (Kick-Ass), Daniel Bruhl (Rush) and Bruno Ganz are among the actors heading to Germany for the start of principal photography at the end of August.
Shooting will then continue in Switzerland – where the film is set – from early September before moving on to Italy. Sils Maria centres on an actress (Binoche) who becomes fixated with another younger actress (Moretz).
The feature is a co-production between CAB Productions in Switzerland, CG Cinema in France and Pallas Film in Germany. Charles Gillibert of CG Cinema produces.
