The next in the series of hugely successful high-octane action films featuring Vin Diesel is speeding towards several international locations, with shooting due to begin in September.

Fast & Furious 7 is planning to take in three US states, California (LA), Louisiana and Georgia as well as Dubai and Tokyo, with castings reportedly taking place in all locations.

Set in the world of street racing, the film stars Diesel alongside Jason Statham, Dwayne Johnson, Paul Walker and Tyrese Gibson, and comes from FF7 Productions in association with One Race Films and Original Film.

Malaysian director James Wan (Saw) is at the helm this time around, with a screenplay by Chris Morgan. Diesel produces for One Race Films, with Neal H. Moritz on board for Original Film.

The Fast & Furious series has proved a global box office hit, taking over $2.27bn worldwide and spawning video games and short film spin-offs. The sixth outing in the series was filmed primarily in the UK last summer, with locations including Liverpool, Southend and London.
