There are three main partners behind the initiative: the Warsaw Film Foundation, the Beijing Film Market and the Beijing-based Film Factory. Each will showcase the new initiative at their respective events: the CentEast Market (18-20 October in Warsaw); the Beijing Film Market (April 2014) and at several film festivals in eastern Europe.

The scheme essentially provides an east-west bridge for film professionals, showcasing the fast-growing Chinese film industry to sales agents and distributors in eastern Europe which may not otherwise be easily reached. Similarly, it provides a window for eastern European films and projects in development to get an airing in China.
