Following the news earlier this summer that Benedict Cumberbatch was no longer on board Crimson Peak, it has now emerged that Tom Hiddleston will be stepping into the frame, to star alongside Jessica Chastain, Mia Wasikowska and Charlie Hunnam.
Guillermo del Toro will direct and produce the film for LA-based Legendary Pictures. Much of the plot is still under wraps on the gothic horror, which is about a young author who finds that her husband is far from what he seems.
Crimson Peak is due to start shooting in early 2014 in Canada – Pinewood Toronto Studios has been reported as one of the film’s likely locations.
