Atlanta welcomes Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
Hot on the heels of this week’s announcement of the Guardians of the Galaxy sequel’s title, we can now confirm that production of the film will take place in Atlanta, Georgia.

Hot on the heels of this week’s announcement of the Guardians of the Galaxy sequel’s title, we can now confirm that production of the film will take place in Atlanta, Georgia.
The latest in Marvel’s vast canon of big-budget superhero films, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will once again be directed by James Gunn from his own screenplay. It is yet to be confirmed whether the production will be based at Pinewood Studios’ Atlanta facility, recently home to another Marvel behemoth, Ant-Man.
The first Guardians feature was shot in the UK in the summer of 2013, with a stellar line-up including Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, John C. Reilly, Glenn Close, and Benicio del Toro. Casting announcements are expected very soon on Vol. 2.
