VFX training scheme extends deadline application
Dublin

The deadline for this year’s VFX: Script to Screen programme in Dublin has been extended to 22 April.

This is the final year for the scheme, which aims to equip producers, directors and creatives with the tools to make artistic, budgetary and technical decisions in relation to VFX, and provides a broad understanding of how VFX impacts on various aspects of prep, production and post.

The programme comprises a range of practical sessions, which will lend the participants an overview of managing projects with VFX elements at all budgets.

VFX: Script to Screen is aimed primarily at producers, line producers, production managers and directors who wish to gain the skills to produce and manage a VFX project from development to post-production. The programme is also aimed at cinematographers, editors, post-production supervisors and production designers.

The programme takes the form of two residential modules, both held in Dublin. The first is called VFX Budgeting & Scheduling/Pre-Production, Development & Production, which runs from 31 May-3 June and the second is Post-Production, held from 14-16 September.

The cost is €1,400 per participant (€700 per module) which includes subsistence and course fee, but not flights. Producers interested in attending the Budgeting and Scheduling day only can do so at a cost of €150.
Applications must be by 22 April; click here for more information on how to apply and for a full list of previous tutors.
