Long-running US soap The Bold and the Beautiful is set to film scenes in Australia in February for multiple episodes.

Long-running US soap The Bold and the Beautiful is set to film scenes in Australia in February for multiple episodes.
Australian airline Qantas is supporting the shoot and will fly the cast and crew from the US, and also around Australia through the week-long production schedule.
“This will be an epic celebration for our fans around the world,” said Bradley Bell, the show’s head writer and executive producer.
“We are preparing to film the most glamorous location shoot in soap opera history. Collaborating with Qantas, Network TEN and CBS, viewers will witness romance, high style, jaw-dropping twists, harrowing stunts and major cliffhangers, all hallmarks of The Bold and the Beautiful.”
The show has in fact filmed in Australia before – back in 2007 – and has also shot in glamorous cities like Dubai, Paris and Monaco.
Filming The Bold and the Beautiful in Australia is partly a commercial consideration for the federal government and Qantas. The show is reportedly watched by 30 million people around the world each day and the international exposure is likely to boost global consumer interest in Australia.
In 2014, Qantas partnered with the producers of the hit US sitcom Modern Family to bring the show to Australia for a series of special episodes.
“We are thrilled to be welcoming some of the cast and crew from The Bold and the Beautiful to Australia,” said Beverley McGarvey, chief content officer at Australian broadcaster Network TEN.
“In a year when the show is celebrating 30 years on television, it is wonderful that they will film in some of Australia’s most iconic locations, showcasing our beautiful country to the world.”
