Tom Holland is set to film the as-yet-untitled Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel in the UK.
The feature is the third to star Tom Holland as the superhero and, as with Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2017, will be directed by Jon Watts.
Marvel and Sony struck a deal in 2015 whereby it was agreed that the character rights would be shared, with Spider-Man subsequently being integrated into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The follow-up film joins a tranche of US film projects heading to film in the UK with Disney leading the charge as it develops more live-action features based on classic feature animations.
The UK continues to reap the rewards of hefty inward investment within the creative industries.
Last year the British Film Instititute published stats revealing that of the total film production spend of £1.8bn during the first nine months of 2017, a whopping £1.6bn came from inward investment features.
