The 25th entry in the iconic James Bond franchise is now in pre-production at its global base Pinewood Studios near London.
Daniel Craig confirmed last summer that he would be returning for his fifth – and likely final – outing as Bond, and then in May this year British filmmaker Danny Boyle was announced as director.
Principal photography on the new movie will begin in December and as always is likely to involve a considerable international location filming element.
The Bond brand has industry competition from big-budget Hollywood franchises such as The Fast and Furious films and Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible series, both of which have become high-profile location-led operations.
Marvel is also emerging as a locations leader, eager to deliver new visuals for its international audiences with recent shoots in Edinburgh and the South Korean city of Busan.
See KFTV's production guide for more on filming in the UK.
