Revenge thriller Jolt is set to film on location in the UK and in Bulgaria, with British actor Kate Beckinsale starring.
The story follows a bouncer who uses an electrical vest to dispel her homicidal instincts but soon goes on a killing spree when the man she loves is murdered, according to a Deadline report.
Millennium Media is making the film, which is to be directed by Tanya Wexler (pictured). David Bernardi and Les Weldon are producing for Millennium.
“Jolt is just that: a shock to the system, and this film promises to be a wicked cocktail of action, humour and style,” said Jeffrey Greenstein, one of the film’s executive producers, in comments to the outlet.
“I believe that this is the start to a fun franchise and I am eager to see our director Tanya Wexler and star Kate Beckinsale bring this badass character and story to life.”
Millennium Films co-owns Nu Boyana Film Studios outside Bulgarian capital Sofia and so the facility is a natural production base for many of Millennium’s shoots.
