Director Steven Soderbergh’s latest film, which has the working title Let Them All Talk, is currently shooting scenes on board Cunard’s luxury ocean liner Queen Mary 2.
Having begun filming in New York earlier this month, the movie’s on-board shoot is taking place over a seven-day eastbound voyage from New York to Southampton.
Deborah Eisenberg has written the screenplay, which reportedly sees Streep play a renowned author who takes some old friends and her nephew with her on a trip. Gregory Jacobs produces with Ken Meyer and Joseph Malloch executive producing.
New streaming service HBO Max has bought the rights to the feature that also stars Candice Bergen, Gemma Chan, Lucas Hedges and Dianne Wiest.
Guests on board the liner will have the chance to appear as extras in the film. President of Cunard Simon Palethorpe said: “We’re delighted to be hosting Steven Soderbergh, Meryl Streep and a star studded cast on our flagship for what will be an incredible movie.”
