Director Antoine Fuqua is at the helm of Infinite, starring Mark Wahlberg, which is currently setting up a UK shoot.
The film comes from LA-based Di Bonaventura Pictures and Paramount and is based on D Eric Maikranz’ novel The Reincarnationist Papers.
Wahlberg plays Evan Michaels, a man who tries to become accepted by the Cognomina, a secret society of people who have complete recall of their past lives. Variety reported recently that Sophie Cookson is also lined up to star.
Wahlberg’s recent credits include Instant Family, which he also produced.
Infinite is the latest major inward investment project to film in the UK; recent US features to have based production there include Will Ferrell’s Eurovision, Jingle Jangle for Netflix and Fast & Furious 9.
BFI statistics published earlier this year showed that inward investment feature films contributed £1.6bn to the UK economy in 2018.
