Exclusive: Venom 2 gears up for UK shoot

The follow up to 2018’s Venom is now in pre-production in the UK.

Andy Serkis is at the helm of the sequel with Tom Hardy reprising his role of investigative journalist Eddie Brock, aka Venom; Michelle Williams also stars.

Directed by Ruben Fleischer and filmed largely in New York and Atlanta, Venom was the first film in Sony’s Marvel Universe and it went on to take more than $850m worldwide.

Hardy has a production company, Hardy Son and Baker, that he founded with production partner Dean Baker. The shingle’s recent credits include a new BBC adaptation of A Christmas Carol made with Scott Free Productions and starring Guy Pearce.

Also in the pipeline for Hardy is a second series of Taboo.
