Netflix has flashed the greenlight on a second series of supernatural horror drama Locke and Key.
The show is based on the graphic novels of the same name by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez.
Set in a fictional Massachusetts town, the first season was filmed in Nova Scotia, where locations included the port town of Lunenberg, a Unesco world heritage site with 18th and 19th century architecture.
A set was built for the house interiors at CineSpace Film Studios, Toronto.
Locke and Key centres on a mother forced to move her family from Seattle to Matheson, Massachusetts after her husband, Rendell Locke, is murdered.
They move into her late husband’s ancestral home, Keyhouse, where a number of mysterious keys are discovered by the children. But it soon becomes clear that other, darker forces, are also hunting for the keys.
The show was developed by Carlton Cuse, Meredith Averill, and Aron Eli Coleite.
