Filming of both projects will start in March

US production outfit CatchLight Studios is set to shoot two projects, Time Tripper and Aviary, in Los Angeles in March.
Tim Tripper stars YouTube and TikTok influencer Larray who will play a fictionalised version of himself who accidentally time travels back to 1992 where no one recognises him and he has to find his way back to the present.
The comedy feature is being produced by CatchLight and Invisible Narratives, who worked together on director Adam Mason’s pandemic thriller Songbird, co-produced by Michael Bay, which was the first film to complete shooting in Los Angeles during the Covid lockdown.
CatchLight’s other project is a thriller called Aviary, which will follow two women, Blair and Jillian, who flee into the New Mexican desert to escape the clutches of an insidious cult. Consumed by fear and paranoia, they can't shake the feeling that they are being followed by its leader, SETH, a man as seductive as he is controlling. With their supplies dwindling and their senses starting to fail them, they are faced with a horrifying question... How do you run from an enemy who lives inside your head?
Aviary “was supposed to shoot in New Mexico, but we are changing that to the California desert instead,” confirmed Jeanette Volturno to KFTV, a founding partner of CatchLight Studios, and former head of physical production at Blumhouse Productions.
Swedish-American actress Malin Akerman (Watchmen) has signed on as one of the leads of the project.
Jeanette Volturno is due to feature as a speaker in KFTV’s Talk about alternative and doubling filming locations around the world, which will take place on Zoom on 3 February at 4pm GMT. SIGN UP TO ATTEND HERE
