Production is underway in London on Ragdoll, a modern-day Faustian thriller starring Henry Lloyd-Hughes, Thalissa Teixeira (both pictured) and Lucy Hale.

Based on the novel by Daniel Cole, the series is from writer Freddy Syborn and Sid Gentle Films for AMC Networks and UKTV’s Alibi. Toby MacDonald and Niall MacCormick direct.

Lloyd-Hughes will play newly reinstated DS Nathan Rose, and Teixeira will play DI Emily Baxter, his boss and best friend. Hale will play DC Lake Edmunds, the unit’s new recruit.

The team is assigned to a shocking and gruesome new case, nicknamed The Ragdoll. The ‘Ragdoll Killer’ taunts the police by sending them a list of his next victims, with Rose’s name at the very end…

Executive producer Sally Woodward Gentle said, “It is so exciting to be working with the wonderfully creative Henry again [the actor played Aaron Peel in S2 of Killing Eve] and a dream to have the incredibly talented Thalissa as one of our wonderful leads. With the addition of the charismatic Lucy, we have a really magical trio bringing this adaptation to life.”

Ragdoll is executive produced by Woodward Gentle and Lee Morris for Sid Gentle Films Ltd. Dan McDermott and Kristin Jones lead for AMC and Philippa Collie Cousins, commissioning editor, drama for UKTV will be executive producer for Alibi. Syborn is lead writer and executive producer and Lizzie Rusbridger produces.
