Apple TV series Amber Brown shooting in Salt Lake City

Filming is underway in Salt Lake City on the Apple TV series Amber Brown from Canadian outfit Boat Rocker.

The series is being directed and written by Bonnie Hunt (The Green Mile, Cheaper by the Dozen), who will also serve as executive producer and showrunner.

Based on the best-selling Paula Danziger novel, Amber Brown is an unfiltered look at a girl finding her voice through art and music in the wake of her parents’ divorce. Carsyn Rose (The Rookie, Cousins for Life) will star as Amber Brown, an everykid who tries to make sense of her new family dynamic through her sketches and video diary. She is joined by Sarah Drew (Grey’s Anatomy, Cruel Summer) who plays Amber’s mother Sarah Brown.

Also featuring in the cast is Darin Brooks and newcomer Liliana Inouye.

Recent projects to film in Utah include Miramax thriller Sick and indie comedy California King.
