Fair Play drama set to shoot in Serbia

A new drama called Fair Play, starring Bridgerton's Phoebe Dynevor and Solo: A Star Wars Story actor Alden Ehrenreich is set to shoot in Serbia from January.

Directed, written and executive produced by Chloe Domont (Ballers), Fair Play sees Dynevor and Ehrenreich play an engaged couple who's relationship takes a turn when Dynevor's character is promoted at her cut-throat hedge fund job.

Star Thrower Entertainment and T-Street will co-produce, with the latter also financing the project.

The landlocked south-eastern European country of Serbia is becoming a leading international production hub. It has an incentive of 25% with no per-production cap – which can extend to 30% if a film spends at least $5.8m (€5m)  – and a growing crew and studio base.

Recent international projects to shoot there include Rian Johnson’s Knives Out sequel for Netflix; British-Irish period crime series, Miss Scarlet and the Duke, which doubled Belgrade for Victorian London; The CW series The Outpost at PFI Studios; and Legendary Entertainment’s The Machine, starring Mark Hamill, which doubled Belgrade for Moscow.
